Nervous Hibiscus

I had a dream once,
something was overtaking me.
running its programming through the
delicate strings of my nervous system,
taking me over one tiny fiber at a time.
I awoke saying the name of Jesus. Speaking the one name I know holds the power of life and death...
This photo I took of a hibiscus stem reminds
me of that dream. Stems similar to nerve endings that reach through the body, delivering their messages. I often ask myself what floats into my synapses.
A message of hope? Love? Or perhaps the proof of dismay this world so often offers.
So I breathe, and I write. In hope - but also in truth, because the authentic heart is the heart that lets the seed crack. And the soil wet with tears, lets the roots deep into its depths...
