The Sun

A reminder Of something Unfailing.

Without doubt It burns.

Consistent. Impartial.

By its presence, Earth is fed.

Plants gleam their sustenance.

My body also enriched.

Even with eyes closed It’s rays reach, Wrapping their warmth

The depths, Know it not, But because of it exist.

Life trickles down into deep waters Saying, I am – evidence of a life-giving light! But the fish in the depths, Illuminate themselves.

Still, it feeds them.

I was a baby when I first Looked up. When I felt it’s warming. Remembered something in my heart. Something that felt like everlasting love.

At times it leaves my view of the skies, And darkness presides. Veiled with clouds, or constant content, the world grows cold… My soul

shivers.

Yet It is without question The sun will rise anew. Reflecting… Ever steady, ever true.

And when the darkness cloaks, The moon…

reminds us too.

Circling Reflecting Embodying

Echoing into the darkness…

I can see it…

Behold!

For I have no light of my own! But graciously I glisten, In its presence!

It’s beams still shine, It’s light still giving.

REMEMBER!!!!

REMEMBER THE SUN!!

Look to the East! See! For soon it rises!

And the sun burns… Powerfully, Majestically.

Glory given it From the Father of all the heavenly lights. To whom even the sun Compares not

How brilliant of him. How marvelous,

To set a reminder so vast, Life would exist because of it.

Is the preciseness of our proximity Not telling of his wisdom? Is the pull of the planets not showing of his might?

I can see it Feel it. Taste it even As it sparks my sweaty flesh. My body yields. Receptors recognize, And call the cells into order.

The balance of the cosmos and the delicate web of the spider hang in his harmony Yet the people resent

No one blames the sun for shining, instead, fall into line With its laws.

Yet It’s power too echos in worship…

Bursting forth light beams, millions a second. Each time it’s message the same

Remember…

YHVH
